I started DigitalWinston to help businesses market themselves and engage with customers online.
While working as a volunteer to improve broadband internet access in Leelanau County, Michigan, I learned that 40% of small businesses in the county did not have a web site.
In today’s world, most consumers do their own online research to learn about a business and how it might serve their needs before picking up a phone, or walking in the door. Businesses need to ensure potential customers get all the information they need when browsing online, and promote their capabilities, to get to that next step of a sale. Having a Facebook page is great for a small business, but it’s no replacement for a dedicated web site where you control the branding, the information and how you are perceived.
Especially during shutdowns and restrictions caused by COVID-19, a web site enables your business to engage with customers when they are at home, to communicate information about special hours or procedures for services, and even to handle transactions online when your doors aren’t open. Read my blog post on why online is essential for small businesses during the pandemic.
My career has included launching multiple web sites for organizations large and small, designed to help them communicate to customers, convey essential information and grow a business. I’ve worked with teams of developers and creative agencies and also have built several web sites myself using WordPress. Read my blog post about why WordPress is a good choice for small businesses.
I’m a small business owner like you and as a client you will have my full attention.
I look forward to hearing about your business goals and visions and transforming them into a web site that will engage and delight your customers and grow your business!
